No real change in the Japanese market


Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul yesterday dismissed rumors a media report Japanese society will once again require visas for citizens of Thailand, as a large number of tourists in Thailand has declared extraction rules are not - visa by living in Japan illegally.
Surapong said the Foreign Ministry has asked the Japanese authorities on this matter and the report was found to be untrue.
However, he warned that Japan could end up considering easing visa for Thai citizen if many end Overstaying allowed to stay in Japan as tourists their time. He urged Thais seek work in Japan to apply for work visas, such as easing visa applies to tourists.
Foreign Minister said that New Zealand has in the past been exempt from visa requirements for tourists in Thailand but later canceled relax after many exploit it by working in this country. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not want that to happen again," he said.
Starting July 1st, the Embassy of Japan has stopped visa requirements for tourists from the four member countries of ASEAN - Thailand, Brunei, Singapore and Malaysia.
